Jawad R. Shalabi has experience in a variety of legal practice areas, from criminal and traffic matters to real estate transactions and divorce proceedings. His legal writing skills have aided in winning many cases, including numerous criminal and civil motions, a divorce appeal, and a worker’s compensation lawsuit.
Prior to being licensed as an attorney, Mr. Shalabi interned with the Cook County Public Defender’s office at the Fifth Municipal District, where he won his first criminal trial.
As an undergraduate, Mr. Shalabi was a member of the University of Illinois’ nationally ranked mock trial team, and was given an “Outstanding” award for his performance at the Saint Francis University Invitational. He was a member of the John Marshall Law School’s Moot Court team and represented the school in the Domenick L. Gabrielli National Family Law Moot Court Competition in New York.
Mr. Shalabi is a 2013 graduate of the John Marshall Law School.
